We are nearing completion of installing the new control system for both boilers at CHACP2. The next phase includes installation of a new gas flow meter on our #2 boiler. After the meter is installed, we will need to tune the boiler. This means that we will have to run the boiler from zero load to max load and back. Since there is no place to use the excessive steam, we will have to vent it out the roof vents (just like we did back in November). This will cause some excessive noises around the plant and near the west side of UMC. We are planning to perform this work Thursday March 21st through Sunday March 24th. There will be no disruption in service to HSC/UMC at any time.
