The Texas Tech University Orchestra Department present “Imagery of Sounds.” The first half featuring Ensemble Bravura will start with Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides Overture followed by the USA premier of living composer Elena Kats-Chernin's Setting Out. A bassoon concerto in 4 movements that will come to life through our very own Kim Walker, Director of the School of Music, to whom this piece was commissioned, under the direction of Philip Mann. The second half will feature Brahm’s Symphony No.1 under the direction of guest conductor Monzer Hourani and the University Symphony Orchestra.
