POWER OUTAGE ON CAMPUS AND IMPACT ON IT RESOURCES AND SERVICES
Around 12:45 AM, Lubbock Power & Light reported a power outage in multiple locations of the Texas Tech Lubbock campus. Power is restored now. As a result of the outage, network connectivity is currently unavailable in some areas. TTU IT Network Operations staff are monitoring and restoring network equipment this morning as needed. In addition, TTU IT staff are working to bring up a few IT services that were impacted. Thank you for your patience. We will provide an update when full IT services have been restored.

Please also note that office computers on campus may remain powered off after this power outage. If your system is affected, you will not be able to connect via Remote Desktop until it has been powered on. For future reference, in order to reduce the need to access these systems remotely, the TTU IT Division recommends moving your data online whenever feasible.
