The SRO Photo Gallery presents Photographic Practices Today: MFA Perspectives, now on display until Sunday, May 6. This exhibition presents artworks by eight current Master of Fine Arts in Photography candidates from universities around the country. The artists work in an array of ideas about familial connections, memory, time, and interaction with landscape unify these artists and their work.

By providing a convening display space for these works, our goal is to celebrate the strength and diversity of work by these student artists. Artists include Anna Rotty (University of New Mexico), Claudia Hermano (University of New Mexico), Emma Ressel (University of New Mexico), Alexandra Barnett (Texas Women’s University), Jessica Hays (Columbia College of Chicago), Justin A. Carney (Indiana University - Bloomington), Brooke Tuma (Texas Tech University), and Sierra Greenslade (Texas Tech University).

Landmark Arts exhibitions and speaker programs in the Texas Tech University School of Art are made possible in part with a generous grant from the Still Water Foundation, Austin. Additional support comes from Cultural Activities Fees administered through the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts.
