Shawna Thomas, a 3rd year pharmacy student at the TTUHSC School of Pharmacy, was diagnosed this past January with Stage IIIA breast cancer. Her fiancé, Shaughn Nunez, is a 4th year medical student at the TTUHSC School of Medicine. Both Shawna and Shaughn are Texas Tech University alumni.
A benefit performance is being held to assist Shawna with medical expenses. The performance will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Coronado High School Auditorium. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased by calling 799-SING. (799-7464). Some tickets will also be available for purchase at the performance.
