The Tech Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance (FMLA) will be presenting “Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays” on Nov. 7 in Room 169 of the Human Sciences building at 7 p.m. This performance is part of simultaneous worldwide presentations of the play to raise both awareness and funds in support of marriage equality.
“Standing On Ceremony” is a heartfelt, funny and altogether illuminating play that celebrates the courage to be in a relationship — any relationship. Cast members for the Texas Tech reading will include undergraduate and graduate students, as well as community members. The reading will be directed by Jeanne M. Haggard, a doctoral student in Fine Arts in the School of Art.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public free of charge.
