Osher Lifelong Learning Institute presents "Health & Wellness" Jan. 30 & Feb. 6
Alternative Therapies for Common Medical Conditions; Jan 30
The first step in treating medical conditions is getting a valid diagnosis. The underlying issues must be properly addressed along with the symptoms in order to get the best therapeutic results. Our standard medical model is great for treating trauma and infections with medications, but there are other considerations when treating diseases or medical conditions that are a result of nutritional deficiencies and/or elevated toxicities in the body.
Know Your Number to Manage Your Health; Feb. 6
Most of us regularly check blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose. These and more lab values are important in monitoring one's health, but they certainly aren't the only markers that indicate health or wellness status. Just as a paradigm shift is needed in healthcare, an expanded view of clinical knowledge of "knowing and understanding the numbers" is needed.
Instructors are Dr. Stephen Dalton, D.O. and Cheryl Benoit, M.S.
