Starting Feb. 3 through March 30, Texas Tech will be competing in a nationwide recycling competition. The competition is called RecycleMania, http://recyclemaniacs.org/. We will be competing against approximately 300 other universities including five Big 12 schools.
Here’s how you can help us WIN!! RECYCLE RECYCLE RECYCLE
Feb. 4th from 11am-1pm at SUB bring a bag (grocery or trash) of recyclables (plastic bottles, aluminum cans, newspapers, etc.) and receive a free t-shirt while supplies last. Bring any recyclable item and receive a free wristband while supplies last. Come out and support our recycling efforts and learn what is happening on the Tech campus in the area of sustainability.
Feb. 17th GAME DAY CHALLENGE – Come to the game and support our Lady Raiders against the University of Texas. We will have giveaways and information at our RecycleMania table. We will also be collecting all recyclables from this game. Help us collect the most for the GAME DAY CHALLENGE. Remember to put your bottles and plastic cups in the recycle containers around the concourse.
Feb. 3 – March 30 –collect recyclables at your home and bring to our on-campus recycling station located behind Housing Services. It is located behind the Art 3-D on Main between Flint and Hartford. Just follow the recycle signs located at the entrances to the parking lot. We accept plastics #1-7, aluminum, tin, paper (newspaper, ads, phone books, etc.). All items must emptied, clean and bagged.
