RecycleMania is a friendly competition including more than 600 universities and colleges across the US and Canada. Please bring in all of your recyclables during the months of February and March to help us beat UT!
We have a recycling station for those living off campus. We accept all plastics, aluminum, tin, all paper, cardboard and glass. Please make sure all containers are empty and rinsed, no food, etc. left in the containers. We also except electronics (phones, tvs, computer, etc.) and textiles (clothing, bedding, linens, shoes, etc.). Students living on campus can use the containers provided in their residence halls. The Recycling Station is located behind the Housing Services Building (located just north of the Art 3D building. You can enter off of Flint or Main by the greenhouse, and just follow the blue Recycle Facility signs.
There will be various activities to get involved in throughout the competition starting on February 8th at the TTU vs. OSU game! We will have a game day challenge with games and prizes in the lobby of Chitwood -Weymouth Hall and a sweep of the arena after the game to collect plastic, as well as an Eco-Art competition on February 12th from 12 – 2pm at the Gazebo in the Free Speech area.
