The Innovation and Economic Prosperity (IEP) University designation recognizes university engagement in a wide array of economic development efforts. The IEP application process is an extensive assessment of Texas Tech’s efforts to connect to our community, and to help us play a major role in fostering economic recovery and growth through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Four surveys were conducted as part of the IEP application process. We’ll discuss the results at the faculty, staff forum. Data collected from these studies and the forum will give the university a baseline to assess the myriad ways in which we provide economic benefit to our region and where we need to improve. We will use this baseline data to prioritize our strategies in making the most effective contributions to innovation and economic development.
