College Students Needed for a Study on Perceptions of Burden to Others
We are looking for college undergraduates to participate in a research study examining perceptions of
burden to others (e.g., family, friends, dating partners, etc.).
You may be eligible to participate in this study if:
You are a college undergraduate.
You are at least 18 years old.
You are willing to identify at least one close friend, dating partner, or family member. This individual
will receive a letter inviting them to answer a few questions about themselves and their relationship
with you.
Your participation in this study will take an hour or less. During your appointment, you will be asked
some questions about yourself and your relationship with at least one close friend, dating partner, or
family member. If you choose to participate in the study, you will be eligible to participate in a drawing
for a $10 gift card. You have a 1 in 8 chance of winning a card. Drawings will be held at the end of each
semester.
Your participation and data are completely confidential. The friend, partner, or family member that you
identify will not receive any information about your responses. If you would like to participate in this study, please e-mail erin.schlegel@ttu.edu with your name, phone number, and hours of availability.
This study has been approved by the Protection of Human Subjects Committee at Texas Tech University.
