Topics include: environmental justice; the social construction of environmental hazards; urban forest, green spaces, and conservation in the city, the politics of sustainability; built landscapes and urban waste; urban resource use and climate change. Students will participate in ongoing research on urban environmental change and renewal in Lubbock.
