FREE Public Lecture by Samia Slimani, Head of Legal Affairs Department for ICOM
You are warmly invited to a free public lecture by Ms. Samia Slimani, Head of Legal Affairs Department for the International Council of Museums (ICOM) at the ICOM Secretariat in Paris, France.  Ms. Slimani will be giving a lecture on ICOM Missions and Activities, particularly in relation to cultural property.  The event will be this Tuesday, July 22 at 5:30pm in the Helen DeVitt Jones Auditorium at the Museum of Texas Tech University. Please use the west door entrance. Free parking in the west and north lots.

Bio Info:
Samia Slimani, French and Algerian national is a lawyer at the Paris Bar. Mrs. Slimani holds two Masters Degrees in public and business law (DEA and DESS) from Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. She has eight years' experience advising the broad public and nonprofit sectors on legal, governance and ethical issues. Before joining ICOM in 2010, she worked at the Financial and Legal Direction at Musée du Louvre where she managed the litigations cases. Mrs. SLIMANI started her career as law attorney in national and international law firms in Paris (Clifford Chance and Jones Day). She lectures on constitutional and administrative law at Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and Université Paris-Sud 11, Faculté Jean Monnet since 2009 and provides training workshops on alternative dispute resolutions, intellectual property and cultural heritage law to ICOM network.
