Adults (18-25 years old) Needed for Research Study

If you are between the ages of 18-25, please consider participating in our study, “Biobehavioral studies on reactivity to activity transitions in individuals with autism-spectrum disorders relative to control participants.” Participants will complete questionnaires and a computer task across two visits to the Burkhart Center. Sessions will last for an hour apiece. Research participation is absolutely confidential. In your first visit, you will complete several questionnaires about your emotions, ways of coping, and habits; you will be compensated $10. In your second visit, you will play some computer games; you will be compensated $8.90. During the second session, there will also be the potential to earn financial compensation depending on how quickly and accurately you respond on computer games—up to a total of $30 for the visit. You are free to quit the study at any time while still retaining your earnings. Please e-mail Dr. Adam Brewer adam.brewer@ttu.edu to schedule a time to learn more about the TRANSITION study.
TTU also has a Board that protects the rights of people who participate in research. You can ask them questions at 806-742-2064. You can also mail them at Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects, Office of the Vice President for Research, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas 79409.
