Now you can access almost all of the Libraries’ 3D Animation Lab software with eRaider from anywhere in the world, at any time and on most any device, through most any broadband internet connection, without requiring a VPN connection.
The “Remote Access 3D Lab” (RA3DLab) system is a mirror of the physical 3D Animation Lab located on the second floor-east in the main Library, with a capacity of 20 simultaneous users. This remote system is based on Citrix XenDesktop, providing hardware accelerated 3D graphical applications to the user via a remote desktop through the Citrix Receiver software that is available for almost all devices and platforms.
The software executes under Windows 7/64 on remote workstations located on campus, but streams to whichever device you are using. This is verified to work with MS Windows, Apple OSX, Apple iOS and Android operating systems and devices. Linux has not been verified. To download the Citrix Receiver, click here.
