Get Feedback and Tips for Editing your Thesis or Dissertation

Friday Afternoon Revision Session for Students Writing Dissertations or Theses

Graduate Center, Administration Building (west basement) from 1pm-4pm.

The Friday, September 19th revision session features:

• Guest Speaker, Amber Lancaster, PhD Rhetoric and Technical Writing, Assistant Director of Online Graduate Studies will give a short presentation "Creating Distance from Your Writing to Enhance Critical Reading and Editing"
• Instructions for peer review strategies
• Peer work to edit and revise texts
• Thesis-dissertation staff available to answer specific revision-related questions

Students should come with laptops and paper copies of their drafts.

Graduate students may attend the Peer Review Sessions on campus or via Mediasite at any point during a three-hour session, however, peer revision group work will start immediately after the guest speaker presents. On campus students should go to the Graduate Center in the west-wing basement of the Administration Building. Those wishing to attend remotely should:
(1) go to http://ow.ly/BmAdv,
(2) sign in to eRaider if prompted,
(3) find the day's date in the list of presentation titles, and
(4) click on "Watch" or the play arrow on the video preview image.
