PUAD 5348-005, CRN 47293 - Managerial Accounting in Governmental and Non-Profit Organizations.
"This course is intended to acquaint the students of public administration, including non-profits, with a generalized management structure and the importance of cost and managerial accounting within that framework. More specifically, the objective is to cover a set of materials that are important for cost management in government and non-profit organizations such as understanding the basic cost concepts, cost behavior, cost analysis, cost estimation, and cost control. The discussions will also attempt to demonstrate how various methods, tools and techniques can be used to facilitate the cost management process in government and non-profit organizations." The graduate course is on Monday evenings.
