Come join us for our next Check with Tech Scholastic Chess Challenge this Saturday, March 7th. Following are details of the event:
PLACE: Estacado High School (cafeteria), 1504 East Itasca St., Lubbock, TX 79403
DESCRIPTION OF EVENT: March "Check with Tech", an Individual and Team Scholastic Championship, with rated and unrated sections. Boards and sets are supplied.
SCHEDULE: On-site registration: 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 7th.
1/2 point byes are available for all four rounds. MUST COMMIT BEFORE FIRST ROUND.
PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL HAVE AN OPEN SECTION FOR THIS TOURNAMENT! The Open section requires a USCF Membership.
Games are played in seven separate sections: Nonrated Sections: K-5, K-8, K-12 (no USCF membership required in these three sections) and four rated "Championship" sections (these require a USCF Membership): K-5, K-8, K-12 and Open. There is a total of 30 minutes maximum per player per game.
ENTRY FEE: $15 received by 3/6 noon or onsite $20. USCF membership required ONLY in the Rated "Championship sections. Membership can be obtained at www.uschess.org or onsite on 3/7 until 10:00 a.m.
