Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization
We are in the process of establishing a local chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) here at Texas Tech University. The CEO is designed to be a student organization interested in the practice and promotion of entrepreneurship.
Our initial meeting to plan and organize the club will be held on November 14th from 12:30 until 2:00 PM in BA Room 255. The founding members will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the local chapter while impacting the entrepreneurial spirit across the entire Tech campus.
It is important to realize that entrepreneurship is not restricted to a specific academic domain. If you consider the world about us, we see the emergence of entrepreneurship in every domain. Entrepreneurship is focused on new value creation through opportunity recognition. It exists in the Arts and Architecture, the Physical and Social Sciences, Engineering, Business, Health Services, the Retail and Hospitality Industry, and Sports (just ask the football analysts if Coach Leach hasn’t recognized opportunity and subsequently created new value).
This club is open to all students at Texas Tech who have an interest in entrepreneurship or simply want to investigate what entrepreneurship can mean in their own lives.
If you are interested, but have a conflict with the date or time please send the information requested below so that we may add you to our initial list.
Again, this is the preliminary stage to determine the interest and initiate the plans and organization. Before we can activate a chapter in the national organization, we will need to complete the requirements dictated by the Student Government Association and the University for the establishment of a student organization.
