At noon on Friday, June 5th at the TLTC (Rm 153) the multicultural core curriculum committee is sponsoring a workshop on multiculturalism and assessment. The first goal of the workshop is for us all to better understand what we are all doing in our various multicultural studies courses. Also, the second goal of the workshop is to discuss and develop embedded assessments for our courses. The purpose of this type of assessment is to help the university with its accreditation efforts. We will also discuss definitions of multiculturalism and review our university-wide multicultural student learning objectives.
