Dr. Walter E. Williams to Visit Texas Tech - September 19
The Free Market Institute is pleased to announce that Dr. Walter E. Williams will visit Texas Tech University on Thursday, September 19, 2013 to deliver a lecture titled "The Role of Government in a Free Society."  The lecture will take place from 5:30-6:30PM in the Allen Theater, located on the first floor of the Student Union Building. 

Dr. Williams is John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University and is a world-renowned economist and nationally syndicated newspaper columnist.  His column appears in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal every Monday.  He is the author of over 150 publications for scholarly journals and 10 books.  PBS based the documentary Good Intentions on his 1982 book The State Against Blacks.

This event is open to the public and the Institute encourages all members of the Texas Tech and Lubbock communities to consider attending.  More information can be found by visiting the website of the Free Market Institute
