When Busyness is not Productive

In today's fast-paced world, busyness has become synonymous with productivity. However, this perception often fosters a culture that rewards being overworked and constantly busy, often resulting in employees experiencing increased stress and feelings of burnout. Dr. Siwatu’s presentation explores the concept of busyness versus productivity and offers practical strategies to reclaim control over time and achieve meaningful results. Using the concept of time dividends, Dr. Siwatu will underscore the importance of mindful time management and the potential benefits that can arise from making conscious choices about how employees spend their time at work. Additionally, Dr. Siwatu will identify several strategies that yield time dividends – the concept of gaining extra time as a result of implementing efficient and effective time management strategies. Attendees will be poised to cultivate a culture of productivity that fosters well-being, reduces stress, and enhances overall satisfaction in the workplace.
