The TTU IT Division announces general availability of eduroam service

The TTU IT Division is pleased to announce general availability of the "eduroam" service. The service makes Internet WiFi service accessible to faculty, staff, and students of participating institutions world-wide, using local account credentials. TTU researchers and research partners will especially find the service useful both here at TTU and when visiting other participating institutions' sites.

As described on the eduroam website, eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop.

For TTU faculty, staff, and students, wherever you find the "eduroam" WiFi service across the globe, simply connect to it and enter your TTU email address as your username and your current eRaider password when prompted to gain free access to the Internet. Likewise, faculty, staff, and students from other institutions can connect to eduroam when visiting Texas Tech University using their home institution's account credentials.

For more information about eduroam and to view a map of participating institutions world-wide, see https://www.eduroam.org/index.php?p=where.
