In conjunction with America Recycles Day (https://americarecyclesday.org) we are having an Electronics Recycle Day. University Student Housing has partnered with USDA-Agriculture Research Service to sponsor the event.
This is an opportunity to get rid of those old TV's, VCR's, DVD players, computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, cell phones, telephones, stereos, cables and cords, gaming consoles, hard drives, scanners, and other electronics. These items have value when recycled.
The electronics will be sold to a reputable recycler (http://www.ecsrefining.com/) and the money made from the sale of the electronics will be applied to the Sustainability Scholarship. We have awarded $90,000 in scholarships since 2013. This year we plan to award $40,000 in scholarships.
Please help us raise money for scholarships and contribute to being "green" by bringing your old, used or broken electronics to the USDA building at 3810 4th Street.
