Texas Tech RaiderDrive Service to be Retired on July 2, 2018

On Monday, July 2, 2018, the Texas Tech RaiderDrive service will be retired. This legacy online file storage service has been replaced by robust storage options available through our Microsoft Campus Agreement, and other campus resources. Please migrate data stored in RaiderDrive to another service prior to July to ensure a seamless transition. TTU recommends and supports several free online file storage solutions:

Type of Data

Replacement Storage Solution

Institutional Data - Mission Critical

TechShare (100 GB free to departments)
TTU Enterprise SharePoint

Institutional Data - Non-Mission Critical

OneDrive for Business

Personal Documents

OneDrive

Timeline

  • TTU stopped creating new RaiderDrive accounts in December 2017; current RaiderDrive users will continue to have access through July 2.
  • On July 3, the service will be decommissioned and files that have not been migrated to a different service by this date will be inaccessible.

Migration Resources
The TTU IT Division recommends migrating your online files to a different service before July 2 to prevent data loss. You can find instructions for moving your files at the following location: How to: Migrate content (folders, documents, etc.) from RaiderDrive

Please note that the MyWeb personal website service will not be retired and content for this service will not be lost. MyWeb sites will be migrated at the same time to a new server and will continue to be accessible via myweb.ttu.edu for the foreseeable future. We will provide additional information on this transition in the near future.
