One-Day Municipal Law Seminar
On Friday, June 8th, a Municipal Law Seminar will be held at the Texas Tech School of Law, Lanier Auditorium, 1802 Hartford Ave., Lubbock, TX.  Starting at 8:30 am, the 8-hour event will feature presentations by 7 municipal attorneys from across the state, all of whom are Texas Tech alumni.  Topics include Open Government, Ethics, Land Use, Economic Development, Code Enforcement, and Social Media.
The curriculum is eligible for continuing education credits from the Texas Municipal League Institute, Texas Court Clerks Association, Texas Municipal Clerks Association, and Texas Bar Association.
Admission is free to current Texas Tech students, faculty and staff.  Admission is $100 for the general public.  Anticipated attendees include city council members, city managers, city secretaries, city attorneys, municipal court clerks, city staff, and volunteer members of municipal boards and commissions.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  Advanced registration is required for all attendees prior to June 1st.
The event is coordinated by City Hall Essentials, a division of the Bojorquez Law Firm.  Hosts for the event are the TTU School of Law, Department of Political Science and the Master of Public Administration Program.  To register go to:
