Rawls Information Security Association

RISA was founded in 2017 with the mission of providing a platform for students to explore their interests and passions in an innovative corporate-like organization structure through unique resume-boosting opportunities and limitless networking opportunities.

With the freedom of forming or joining hands-on committees, all members contribute to the mission of the organization while supplementing their education through cross-functional projects, workshops and courses, social events, and career development activities such as guest speakers’ discussions and free professional headshot shoots.

RISA prides itself in having active members from a diverse academic background. From Ph.D. students pursuing Computer Science to freshmen undergraduates pursuing Journalism— our networking opportunities are limitless. RISA strives to become the most innovative and disruptive student organization in the United States.

If you have any questions, make sure to attend the kickoff meeting on February 18th @7PM in the SUB Lubbock Room. There we will break down what you can expect from RISA throughout this semester.
