TechAnnounce

The TTU IT Division, working in cooperation with eLearning, the TLPDC, and Blackboard Managed Hosting, will upgrade the TTU Blackboard Learn environment to a newer, more robust version starting on Thursday, May 30^th, at 11:30 pm (CDT) and lasting no more than 12 hours.  During this timeframe, TTU Blackboard Learn services will be unavailable. 

While many new features will be available, the navigation and user experience will not change. New Blackboard feature highlights:

• Cloud storage integration – Faculty and students will be able to connect to their preferred cloud storage accounts (e.g. Microsoft OneDrive) and place content directly into their course.
• Delegated Grading: Grant reconcile privileges – The instructor will be able to reconcile grades and determine final scores after the graders have completed their assigned submissions.
• Grade assignments with the mobile app – Instructors will be able to grade assignments using the Blackboard Instructor app.

Please note that eLearning will soon provide more detailed information about the new features, and updated training materials for faculty.  We have collaborated with colleges and areas to select the best possible time for this semi-annual maintenance, resulting in the least amount of impact to instruction and semester preparation.  Should you experience any issues outside of this maintenance window, please contact IT Help Central at (806) 742-4357 (HELP) or ithelpcentral@ttu.edu.
