When installing or updating Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on Mac, you may receive a prompt to enable new system extensions.
macOS applications may occasionally prompt a user to enable a system extension in order to allow additional functionality for that application. The prompt usually contains a message similar to:
System Extension Blocked
The program “wdavdaemon” tried to load new system extension(s). If you want to enable these extensions, open Security & Privacy System Preferences.
