RISE is collecting used and unused black-tie clothing for Texas Tech’s 2nd Chance Prom for current college students who may have missed their high school prom due to fear that they could not be their authentic selves.
Many students may skip prom due to gender orientation, expression, or attraction. 2nd Chance Prom is an event wherein individuals can experience prom in a safe and accepting space.
Do you have any old black-tie clothing taking up space in your closet? Consider donating these pieces to the RISE office in Drane Hall, Room 247 in exchange for a RISE goodie bag. Examples of black-tie clothing include prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, suits, slacks, dress shirts, ties, etc.
