In the Fall of 2022, faculty members from the TTUHSC School of Nursing and School of Population & Public Health, lead a group of students on a global health program to Dumaguete, Philippines. The students had an opportunity to observe and work with Silliman University faculty and students, in the local private and public hospitals, public health department and community. Through a grant provided by the TTUHSC Office of Global Health, students and faculty from both Silliman University and TTUHSC organized a conference to provide training for local Community Health Workers. This presentation will provide an overview of our experience, and how we look forward to enhancing the relationship we have built with community partners and community members in the Philippines.
