The definition of "design" has expanded to include not only artifacts but strategic systems for problem solving. Current challenges and opportunities facing society and organizations have become more complex, and stakeholders have become more diverse. "Design thinking" therefore plays an important role in finding deliberate human-centered decision-making paths. Using case studies and collaborative projects, this course will review design thinking beyond the media jargon while providing students with the tools to integrate design thinking into their own academic or professional practices.
