Claymation Animation Workshop open to all!

Texas Tech School of Art and The Museum of Texas Tech present:

Traditional meets Current Trends in Claymation, a workshop with Sandee Chamberlain

Learn about the history of Stop-motion/Claymation and the technical steps needed to complete a short animation. Participants will have the opportunity to create a micro-animated short between 10-20 seconds, learning techniques of stop-motion animation as it applies to working with clay. Working with clay can be a therapeutic practice since it is such a tactile experience for the creator.

Participants will be able to record their animation directly on their own smart phone devices and make a video ready to share with family, friends, and artistic communities. Sharing animation can be a wonderful way to make connections with other artist and open conversations on current trends and storytelling.

About the Artist: Sandee M. Chamberlain has always had a fascination with moving imagery and has a passion for teaching. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Animation & Illustration at Kennesaw State University in the School of Art and Design, her work has been shown in national and international galleries as well as film festivals.
