Program Description:

 
  • Content area: Early Childhood development & education in a low-income neighborhood

  • Locations: Alderson, Harwell and Hodges Elementary Schools

  • Session: Summer II (The half-day Pre-K camp runs from July 16 – August 3) 

  • Activities: 
    • Interact with 3-5 year old children
    • Assist in the classroom
    • Conduct assessments (training provided)

  • Pre-Reqs: Work well with children & adults from diverse backgrounds.

  • Requirements: 
    • Complete classroom volunteer & Pre-K assessment training
    • Attend Pre-K class & be actively engaged
    • Requirements Write reflection papers on your experience
